NEW YORK (www.joedeninzon.com) - Joe Deninzon and Stratospheerius will be playing Kenny's Castaways, 157 Bleeker Street in New York City on September 1 at 10 PM. This is near the 1, 2, 3, A, B, C, D,E F trains. The venue phone is (212) 473 9870.

Stratospheerius are on tour this season in support of their current lp, LIVE WIRES, plus a new DVD promo-the first track is "What's That Thing/ pleasurepain" and fine for TV play, the rest of the tunes are excerpts for booking purposes.

Joe plays electric fiddle and mandolin, plus he sings. Also in the band are Lucianna Padmore on drums and Bob Bowen on bass, Mac Price on guitar. Known as "the Jimi Hendrix of violin," Joe Deninzon and Stratospheerius won the "Best Independent Jam Band" in the 2005 MUSICIANS ATLAS Independent Music Awards. Celebrity judging panel included Delbert McClinton, Erykah Badu, Loudon Wainwright III, William Ackerman, Victor L. Wooton and Alan Light.

"What's That Thing" is also featured on Joe Deninzon and Stratospheerius' latest album LIVE WIRES which includes former guitarists Jake Ezra and Alex Skolnick on different tracks. The disc features Joe on electric violin, mandolin, and vocals.
