LOS ANGELES (www.simpleplan.com) - Multi-platinum rockers Simple Plan took over the Gibson Theatre in Los Angeles in honor of the Teen Choice Awards this past Sunday, August 14. The band won the coveted surfboard award for "Choice Rock Group," beating out modern rock superstars such as Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers and Green Day. The Teen Choice Awards, which aired on the Fox Network on August 16, celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, music, comedy, fashion and sports.

Simple Plan was one of a few musical performers on the broadcast, which included jaw-dropping performances by Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas and the Pussycat Dolls. Simple Plan performed their poignant chart-topping single "Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?) to a packed house of celebrities and teens, who hung onto the band's every word, while raising their cell phones in honor of their favorite choice rock band.

Simple Plan will be hitting the road this Fall in support of Still Not Getting Any... The tour is expected to hit major markets across the U.S. beginning in October, coinciding with the band's upcoming new single "Crazy." "Crazy" is expected to impact radio on October 4. Still Not Getting Any... which has sold over 3 million copies worldwide, features the Top-10 pop track "Welcome To My Life" and the hit single "Shut Up," which went to No 1 on MTV's daily countdown TRL.
Simple Plan continues to receive accolades for their new release including nominations for three Juno Awards including Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Group of the Year.
In addition, Simple Plan received an MTV TRL Award nomination for "Best Band That Actually Plays Instruments" and was nominated in The Viewers Choice Award category at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards.
