LONDON, UK (Reuters) - Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins briefly addressed his hospitalization in the U.K. in August for what handlers merely called "overindulgence" in a recent post on the band's official Web site ( www.foofighters.com.) "I hope everyone is O.K. in these turbulent times," he said. "As for me, I am alive and well. I was a bit ill, as I'm sure a lot of you know, but as of now I'm feeling better than I have in years. " Hawkins was hospitalized in London after the band's show at the V2001 festival in Chelmsford, England, on Aug. 19. It is believed the drummer overdosed on drugs and suffered some damage in the process, but the bands camp is keeping tight-lipped on what really happened. As a result of the situation, the band was forced to cancel several European tour dates. The Foos are currently in Virginia recording the follow-up to There Is Nothing Left To Lose.
