BURBANK, CA. (Reprise Records) - It was announced today that Reprise Records' My Chemical Romance will embark on their first ever headline tour this fall.

Hailing from the suburbs of Newark, NJ, My Chemical Romance is comprised of Gerard Way (vocals), Mikey Way (bass), Frank Iero (guitar), Ray Toro (guitar) and Bob Bryar (drums). Through nonstop touring this past year, the band garnered high praise and was the only support act on Green Day's Sold Out Spring tour, which led to a headline slot on the Vans Warped Tour. Along the way, the band has amassed a rabid fan base, catapulting them into headline status.

My Chemical Romance's "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" was released on June 8, 2004 and debuted at the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The band has received extensive media attention both on television and in print press, performing their hits on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly and Jimmy Kimmel Live; and gracing the covers Alternative Press and Spin as well as being prominently featured on the pages of Blender, Rolling Stone, Revolver, Guitar World and Bass Player. The band has made multiple appearances on Fuse's Daily Download and their videos remain in heavy rotation on the channel. They won the "Who's Next" contest on Yahoo! during August 2004 and recorded Sessions@AOL earlier this year.

My Chemical Romance was featured on MTV's highly acclaimed series for new music, "Discover and Download," leading to an appearance on TRL's "Spankin' New" Music Week. A current TRL darling, My Chemical Romance's video for "Helena" has stayed at the top of the TRL playlist for many consecutive days. They were also the first band to be selected for MTV's groundbreaking "10 Spot Drop," and performed on the 2$ Bill concert from Buffalo earlier this year. On Monday, My Chemical Romance was nominated for four MTV Video Music Awards.

Alkaline Trio and Reggie And The Full Effect will support the band on this 28-city trek across the United States. Although on-sale dates for the tour will not be announced for a couple of weeks, the tour will make stops in: Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Detroit, MI; Chicago, IL; St. Paul, MN; Milwaukee, WI; St. Louis, MO; Dallas, TX; San Antonio, TX; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; San Jose, CA; Reno, NV; Orem, UT; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Myrtle Beach, SC; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; Providence, RI; and Baltimore, MD.
House of Blues will present the tour.
