Slim Thug is set to make his national late night TV debut performing "I Ain't Heard of That" on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on Thursday, July 21st 2005.
"The Houston Rap scene has been heavy for a long time down here in the South but now is the opportunity for the world to really get hip to it," says Slim Thug. Already Platinum is the second major release from Star Trak since joining the Geffen/Interscope powerhouse which is noted for Snoop Dogg's most recent multi-platinum release Rhythm and Gangsta. Already Platinum primarily produced by the music industry's go-to hit maker's production team The Neptunes also features production by Jazzy Pha, and Houston's own Mr. Lee with guest appearances by rappers Bun B & T.I.
Coming from a thriving mix-tape culture Slim Thug has his name in the credits of three heaters this past year "Like A Boss," "3 Kings," and the summer's biggest anthem "Still Tippin" with fellow Texan's Mike Jones and Paul Wall. Slim Thug has spent these past weeks on a massive promotional tour with heavy retail and radio visits that even consisted of a week of "Robin Hood in Texas" with Slim Thug give a ways that included free rims and tires for his number one fans.
The 6'6 24 year-old rapper born Stayve Thomas known to command attention upon entering a room not only because of his frame but his deep baritone voice has his future in line to maintain the Already Platinum lifestyle he enjoys which include owning ten luxury cars, two custom bikes, several real estate ventures, and his own Boss Hogg Outlawz record label.
