SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Australia) - The System Of A Down boys have just finished shooting the new video for their next single 'Question!'. The clip for the song, taken from SOAD's No 1 album 'Mezmerize', was co-directed by bassist Shavo Odadjian, and is actually centred on a dream.
Following on from their freakishly frenzied single 'B.Y.O.B', System Of A Down are set to release 'Question!' as the second single from their world-dominating album 'Mezmerize'. The clip for the track, written by frontman Serj Tankian about death, was recently shot in LA in a disused old theatre from the 30s.

Co-directed by bass-player Shavo Odadjian and Howard Greenhalgh, the video for the haunting track is the result of a dream Shavo once had, and looks at reincarnation and the cycle of life.
"It starts out with a death of a bird, and then the theatre opens up and the play begins," Serj told Rolling Stone of the video. "You go through this kind of Adam and Eve process - there's a little boy picking berries and he ends up poisoning this little girl that he loves. And then there's adult versions of each of them and then the girl's dying and then there's the birth of a baby. It's kind of like life changes forms, spirit changes forms but it keeps on going, so death is not really death... It's actually less of a giant performance video and more like a dream sequence or a play."

SOAD fans will also be eagerly awaiting the release of 'Hypnotize', the follow-up to No 1 album 'Mezmerize'. Set to drop later in the year, 'Hypnotize' will artfully close off the 'Mezmerize' chapter.
"The records do kind of bookend each other," guitarist/singer Daron Malakian told MTV. "Once you hear the second record you will hear how both of these records come together as one record, and I think four or five years down the line... people are going to look back on this System record and see it as one record, and that has something to do with the way it begins and the way it ends."
