The Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL Announces Additional Bands for 5th Annual Festival at Coney Island on Saturday, July 16, 2005

NEW YORK (The Village Voice) - The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative newsweekly, is excited to announce the addition of Saul Williams, Ambulance LTD, Diamond Nights, Morningwood, Be Your Own Pet, Nine Black Alps and Detachment Kit to the line-up for The Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island on Saturday, July 16th from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. These just announced bands join scheduled performers Spoon, Mates Of State, Brendan Benson, Dungen, VHS Or Beta, Q And Not U, and The Dears. Plus Tommie Sunshine and The Notorious SHOUT! DJs will be spinning throughout the day.

This free, all-day, all-ages, music festival will feature live international, national and local bands performing on two outdoor stages in historic Coney Island. Now in its fifth year, The Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL has solidified its status as a leading outdoor indie rock event, drawing over 170,000 music fans last summer, establishing itself as a leader in showcasing indie rock veterans and emerging artists.

Budweiser returns to The Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL as the exclusive beer sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.
