New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Yola performed on the inaugural episode of The Bluegrass Situation's new Whiskey Sour Happy Hour series, hosted by Ed Helms and presented in partnership with Americana Music Association, to benefit MusiCares' COVID-19 Relief Fund and Direct Relief, last night. "She put out one of the most exciting albums of the year last year with the production and co-writer guidance of Dan Auerbach," says Helms. You can watch her perform "Ride Out in the Country," from that album, Walk Through Fire, and an earlier song of hers, "What You Do," with her housemates, below at thirty-minutes in.

Also on the debut episode are its "house band," composed entirely of Punch Brothers fiddler Gabe Witcher, whom Helms calls an "unbelievably annoyingly talented musician," and additional guest musicians Madison Cunningham, David Garza, Watkins Family Hour, Aubrie Sellers, Lee Ann Womack, and Billy Strings, as well as New Yorker cartoonist Matt Diffee.

New episodes of Whiskey Sour Happy Hour will be broadcast each of the following three Wednesdays, April 29, May 6, and May 13, at 8pm ET, with guests including Chris Thile, Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi, and Rodney Crowell.
