NEW YORK (AP) - Limp Bizkit isn't going to let a little thing like losing its guitarist get in the way of a TV appearance. The band's Fred Durst has announced that he will perform Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" with Puddle of Mudd singer-guitarist Wes Scantlin at MTV's European Video Music Awards on Thursday (Nov. 8) at Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany. Limp is up for four awards. Gorillaz lead the MTV Europe nominations with six - Best Group, Best Dance Act, Best New Act, The Web Award, and Best Song and Best Video for "Clint Eastwood." Along with Limp Bizkit, U2 and Craig David also have four nominations. Meanwhile, former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland has announced details for his new project. It's called Eat the Day, and according to Borland's Web site for his other band, Big Dumb Face, the new band plans to "slap you in the face later on in 2002." The name comes from a keyboard effect that the guitarist uses.
