SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (www.miggsband.com/ www.myspace.com/miggs) - San Francisco's classic alt/rock band MiGGs kicks off their summer tour this Memorial Day Weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio as part of the ASA Events' LG Action Sports Mobile Skate Park Series. The Mobile Skatepark Series is an internationally televised touring event developed by ASA Events to offer an interactive youth cultural experience between pro athletes, musicians and the myriad of young adults that participate in and follow extreme sports. Cincinnati marks the first of the national dates MiGGs will play with ASA.

MiGGs' summer tour follows right on the heels of its national spring tour, which included a bevy of dates on the Virgin College Megatour. So, between performing on stage, crisscrossing the country in support of a brand new album and partying like rock stars, does MiGGs have time for anything else? Does the endless partying go on during those long drives? Well, not exactly ...
What kinds of activities ARE going on inside the touring van? Well the guys pound away on wireless laptops, taking the time to interact with thousands of fans on myspace.com, chat on their message board and answer emails BUT what EXTREME van game do they play? Answer: Scrabble, the rockstar edition of course ... Yes, it's Party Like a Rock Star, Scrabble Like a Rhodes Scholar.

"We are determined to maintain our brainpower while touring," says lead singer Don MiGGs. "We don't let the road turn our brains to mush. We battle each other and maven each day for the right to call ourselves ... The Scrabble King ... or simply King of the Last Word."

That's right: MiGGs are huge fans of the Hasbro, Inc. game Scrabble, often the subject of forum posts and fan discussions. Boasting their own sport, the band cherishes its chrome-plated ("rockstar") Scrabble set and is looking forward to not only seeing who will dominate the stage this summer, but who will be the King of the game.

MiGGs' new album, InsOmnia is produced by the legendary Gavin MacKillop (Goo Goo Dolls, Barenaked Ladies, Sugarcult) with renowned mix/engineer JC Convertino (Talking Heads, Miles Davis, Madonna) producing two additional tracks at San Francisco's new state-of-the-art recording facility, SF Soundworks. Said one pre-release critic, "InsOmnia is a feast of intimate, honest lyrics, unforgettable solo and harmony vocals, and music that can veer in a heartbeat from near silence to peaks of sonic power." If over 8,400 new fans and 83,000 spins of the new music on https://www.myspace.com/miggs is an indicator, the fans love it, too.

In addition, the band's song "Be" from the album InsOmnia was used to promote Fox's popular television drama, "The O.C.". The promo was aired during "American Idol," and is included in the DVD release of "Fat Albert." "MiGGs is on its way to garnering national exposure, and is next in line to emerge from the prolific San Francisco music scene," said Morty Wiggins.

The first few dates along the summer tour include:
