New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Blue Sky Kiss is the third track off Gregory Suarez's album titled Around the World. Simply put, it has everything there is to want in a modern acoustic rock song.
The instrumentation, made up primarily of guitar strums and drums, perfectly back Gregory Suare's vocals to make this into a catchy, cohesive song. The guitar and drum tracks neither drown out the vocals nor override them, making for a well-produced piece. There is also a guitar solo that lasts for around 45 seconds that serves well between the second chorus and the bridge.
The song is a heartfelt, upbeat love song. It starts with the narrator introducing a girl he knows, and through the chorus it is made clear that he is in love with her. Both the words and melody of the song imply that he her presence invokes a sense of happiness in him. The narrator also makes clear in the first verse that the girl he is in love with is not perfect, calling her in contrast to a saint. However, she is still his love interest due to everything he mentions that he likes about her.
Still not sold? Give it a listen now. Chances are, you will be singing along to it by the final chorus, while learning the instrumentation in the process.
