LSO ANGELES (SONY BMG) - With Hollywood set to update "The Dukes Of Hazzard" into a new feature film, the original cornfed TV soundtrack is set for June 28th, 2005 release on Volcano/Legacy, a division of SONY BMG ENTERTAINMENT.

The TV series was a hit right out of the gate, winning its time slot throughout its run from 1979-1985, and Hazzard County's assorted yahoos, peckerwoods and good ol' boys (and gals) have continued to successfully mine syndication with very few interruptions ever since.

It's all here, folks' series narrator Waylon Jennings' resonant theme song ("Good Ol' Boys"), Johnny Cash's "General Lee" (arguably the most perfect song ever written about a 1969 Dodge Charger), three cuts by Cajun legend Doug Kershaw, and as a bonus Waylon and Willie warning mamas about babies becoming cowboys.

The rest is a good-natured, rollicking romp as some of the cast members step up to the plate and take their swings. You'll marvel as The Hazzard County Boys caterwaul through "Good Ol' Boys," you'll listen in slack-jawed disbelief as Luke Duke (Tom Wopat) takes on The Band's "Up On Cripple Creek," and hearts everywhere will flutter when Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) belts out "Down Home American Girl." Bo Duke (John Schneider) and Boss Hogg (Sorrell Booke) each take a pair of turns.
