
HOUSTON, TX. (American Marketing Association) - Heather Wagner, the Marketing/Product Manager for Sanctuary Urban, the Houston-based talent management firm, working with
Texas born, seven-time Grammy winning artist
Beyonce will discuss marketing entertainment superstars at the monthly luncheon meeting held on May 11th by the
Houston chapter of the American Marketing Association.
Ms. Wagner will describe how she handles the day-to-day management of Beyonce and Mario, including their marketing, promotion, touring, endorsements, films, merchandizing and other key areas of their careers. Working hand in hand with the record label, she helps maximize the marketing exposure of her artists both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining Sanctuary Urban, Ms. Wagner was with Universal Music Holland where she served as International Exploitation Manager (international development manager). As the only American in a company of 125 Dutch record label employees, she was responsible for setting international releases around the world for acts signed to Mercury Records. She worked with various genres of music in Asia, Europe and the Americas to gain commitments for the artist's projects, formulate effective marketing plans, and roll out a successful album release on almost every continent.
Her artists included Israel's famed NOA, jazz crooner Laura Fygi, Dutch rock artist Ellen ten Damme, classical crossover artist Petra Berger, and finally Herman van Veen and Jantje Smit, who are both platinum-selling artists in the German folk music arena.
