Singer/Songwriter Anja Kotar Returns With Ambient Pop Single 'Digital Diary'

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pop singer-songwriter Anja Kotar makes her return with 'Digital Diary' September 27th. Blending thoughtful lyrics with pop melodies Anja creates her own unique sound, and has already gained a loyal fan base that currently stands at 24,000 followers on Instagram.

Anja's debut album, NOMAD was produced by 3-time Grammy Nominee, Pascal Guyon and received support from A&R Factory, Celebmix, and won her the Best Pop Song award from the American Songwriting Awards.

When asked about 'Digital Diary', Anja Stated: "I came up with the idea for the song after finding a furry pink diary I used to keep as a child. I opened it up and started reading my thoughts, realizing that nowadays my phone replaced my pages. I wrote the song at my piano at home in San Jose and finished it with Noah Taylor in LA. We wanted to make something that can serve both as a ballad and a bop, something that gets you both thinking and dancing."

Born in Slovenia, where she was classically trained in music, it wasn't until the young songstress moved to San Jose, California, that she was introduced to the "mysterious, magical world of music". Living in California Anja seized every opportunity to sing, stating: "I just started playing around on the keyboard without any sheet music, and that's accidentally how I wrote my first song. A whole new world opened up." She has since trained with one of Los Angeles' most prominent vocal coaches, Micah Plissner.
