NEW YORK (AP) - Stone Temple Pilots have laid down a version of the Beatles' "Revolution" to be released as a benefit single to aid victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The band first performed the song at Come Together: A Night For John Lennon's Words and Music, Dedicated to New York City and Its People, which aired live on TNT on Oct. 2. Four days later, they hit Avatar Studios in New York City and recorded the studio version.

The enhanced single , which includes behind-the-scenes footage of the band in the recording studio, will be available Nov. 27 on Atlantic Records. All proceeds from its sale will go to the Twin Towers Fund.
