LOS ANGELES (AP) - Colombian rocker Juanes might have been nominated for the most awards at the 2nd Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, but it was Spanish pop star Alejandro Sanz who went home with the most trophies.

Sanz, who was nominated for five awards, was given four awards at the press conference on Tuesday (Oct. 30) morning at the Conga Room in Los Angeles, which was co-hosted by Jimmy Smits and Paul Rodriguez, who replaced Christina Aguilera at the last minute.

Sanz won the coveted Album of the Year and Best Pop Male Vocal Album (El Alma Al Aire)


Juanes
and Song and Record of the Year ("El Alma Al Aire"). Juanes, up for seven awards, was given three: Best New Artist, Best Rock Vocal Album (Fijate Bien), and Best Rock Song ("Fijate Bien").

Other winners include Aterciopelados for Best Rock Album by a Duo or Group with Vocal (Gozo Poderoso), Celia Cruz for Best Traditional Tropical Album (Siempre Vivire), and Vicente Amigo for Best Flamenco Album (Ciudad De Las Ideas), among others.
