Gaby Moreno Performs On WNYC's "All Of It," Leads Stellar Celebrate Brooklyn! Show
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Gaby Moreno was a guest on WNYC's All of It on Friday ahead of her free concert for Celebrate Brooklyn! that night. She performed a few songs, including a solo acoustic take on Ry Cooder, John Hiatt, and Jim Dickinson's "Across the Borderline," and spoke with host Alison Stewart about discovering blues music, moving to the US from Guatemala, writing the Parks and Recreation theme song, being a frequent guest on public radio's Live From Here with Chris Thile, and working with Van Dyke Parks on their new album, ¡Spangled! - which includes an orchestral version of "Across the Borderline" with Jackson Browne and is due October 4 on Nonesuch Records.

¡Spangled! is available for pre-order now at  iTunes and the Top40-Charts.com Store, where "Across the Borderline" and "The Immigrants" may be downloaded immediately. The album will also stream at  Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital service providers.

For the Celebrate Brooklyn! event Friday night, Moreno hosted a multi-artist event in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. She welcomed to the stage several artists for their own sets and performed with special guest artists Jackson Browne, with whom she sang "Across the Borderline," and Oscar Isaac.

"A performance featuring solely Moreno ... would have been emotionally rewarding enough," says Billboard, in its review of the concert led by this "enchanting" artist. "But throughout her concert at the bandshell in Brooklyn's Prospect Park ... Moreno and her band were joined by—or stepped out of the spotlight for—a succession of great guest stars, culminating with a finale featuring Oscar Isaac and Jackson Browne" on the song "Fare Thee Well (Dink's Song)," which Isaac had performed in the title role of the Coen brothers' film Inside Llewyn Davis. "Bidding the crowd farewell, their three voices rose beautifully into the Brooklyn night," says Billboard.
