Acclaimed Blues Alt Rockers Delmont Dig Deep With Debut EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Forming just four years ago, blues/alt band Delmont have quickly made a name for themselves with their hook-laden melodies and modern sound. Now, after teaming up with Grammy-Award Producer Phil Nicolo (Aerosmith, Bob Dylan. Lauren Hil), the Philadelphia-based band is releasing their much-anticipated debut EP Aged on May 4. Their first single "Young And Vicious" and its accompanying video will be unveiled April 19.

Recorded at the renowned Forge Recording studios, the five-track EP is a blistering, soulful rock n' roll collection filled with relatable, contemplative lyrics.

"This EP has been over a year in the making and it shows a brand new, more polished sound than what the band was before," explains drummer Jonah Kazman. "We talk about the hashtag #sweatandwhiskey a lot because, like whiskey, we took the time to develop the complexity of each song and make sure it was ready for the world to hear, and we've definitely poured our share of sweat into shows and practice sessions".

Featuring "reformed metalheads" and "classic bluesmen," the five-piece comprises singer Sean Ramirez, lead guitarist Joey Fontana, rhythm guitarist Ryan Branagh, bassist Colby Fischang and Kazman, who bring a unique southern rock n' soul touch and balance of many styles of music. Their lyrics strive to address life's difficult questions, and Aged confronts issues of alcoholism, toxic relationships and navigating your mid-20s.

Opening track "Nothing Yet" is an inspiring rock anthem that contemplates finding oneself amid daily struggles, while the last song "Grey" transforms the traditional rock ballad into a blazing meditation on mental health. "Young and Vicious," which will be the band's debut single, is a detour to these themes and explores the strong attractions one can feel for another person.

Producer and engineer Ron DiSilvestro worked exclusively with the band at Forge Recording to create Aged. "Working with Delmont was a potent cocktail of great songwriting, killer musicianship and enough raw emotion and performance energy to power a town. These guys put so much into their songs, I can't listen to the EP while driving and not hit 100 mph", he says. Kazman calls the sessions "the best studio experience we have ever had."

About Delmont:
Bluesy alternative rock band Delmont was born in the streets of Philadelphia when a broken guitar was found in a dumpster. While all members hail from the Northeast, Delmont's music brings a unique southern rock n' soul touch to the fertile rock scene. Alternating between the grit and soul of the blues and more pop-inflected rock, Delmont achieves a balance of many styles of music. Their lyrics strive to address life's difficult questions and connect diverse groups of people.
