ABOUT CHARLIE SUB & SOUND DOGS:
Charlie Sub & Sound Dogs, an indie rock band, perform original music inspired by an iconic era in rock & roll history. They combine the singing and songwriting skills of Charlie Sub with the guitar mastery of Pat Branch, keyboard melodies of Rich Brotman, dynamic backing vocals of Genevieve Faivre, saxophone harmonics of Pete Esser, harmonic richness of guitarist David Newman, and tasteful drumming of Gandhi Gonzalez.
Charlie's father, Paul Sub, owned and managed the legendary Coventry Club in Queens (NYC) famous in the 1970's for showcasing soon-to-be legendary acts, including Kiss, The Ramones, The New York Dolls and countless other bands, all at the beginning of their careers. Currently the Sub family owns Ethyl's Alcohol & Food in the UES, a lounge, restaurant and performance space on 2nd Avenue.
Founded in 2014, Charlie Sub & Sound Dogs bring a fusion of rock, blues and '70's inspired nostalgia to life with regular shows of all-original music across NYC. Their debut EP The Bronx Is Burning is due out May 17, 2019.
