Mellotron Presents... Tristan Eckerson

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 'Luz' is the latest release from highly prolific artist Tristan Eckerson; known for his beautiful melodies and breathtaking atmospheres, Tristan consistently creates compositions of the highest quality and 'Luz' is no different.

The start of the piece is shrouded in mystery and it's impossible not to be grabbed straight away by the curious construction of notes, giving the listener the feeling that they're wandering down a low lit path, though the end is out of reach. The translation of Luz is 'Light' and the damped piano tones give the feeling of a misty atmosphere, but with one consistent shining light hinged on the chords keeping the piece anchored to ground whilst the melody is left to move and drift seamlessly, adding to the whimsical nature. The texture is consistent throughout and no matter how much the melody changes, the chords always follow the same path and return back to the same minor chord, emphasising the overall feel and real purpose of the piece.
