New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fresh from a BBC Introducing live session for BBC Radio Humberside, Hull punk rock band NEWMEDS are pleased to reveal the video for their debut single 'What's Your Problem?' ahead of a special single launch show at Dive, Hull on 15th February 2019.

With their hometown of Hull recently crowned UK City of Culture, and the local arts scene significantly benefiting from the economic boost and international spotlight afforded to it, NEWMEDS are a fine example of the homegrown talent that's chomping at the bit to break out of the north of England.

Comprised of veteran members of long-established and respected names from the heavy music scene including Winterfylleth, Drowners, The Colour Line and Outspoken Silence, the newly minted four piece are wasting no time planting their flag with their abrasive, high-energy punk'n'roll evoking the likes of The Bronx, Cancer Bats, and Gallows.

The quartet have a genre-bending no-limits philosophy to their music, where any sound or style goes as far as the writing process is concerned. Elements of black metal, pop punk, emo and even psychedelia edge into their finely crafted and slickly produced brand of punk rock.

The band have released a number of demos since starting in late 2017 primarily as a studio project, although always collaborating in the practise room to write. Soon realising they had captured something special with their first single 'Roslyn', it wasn't long before the easy decision was taken to put together a live show.

In-between a hugely successful launch night and number of follow up gigs at the end of 2018, NEWMEDS entered the studio again to record latest single 'What's Your Problem?', which is the first released by the band as a 4 piece.

NEWMEDS live performances—much like their songs—are full of aggression, angst and energy. Their lyrics are brutally honest and occasionally controversial, whilst always aiming to push a focus on mental health to the forefront of conversation.

Although young in terms of time spent together in this particular guise, between them the members have played some of the world's biggest festivals in their previous outfits including Coachella and Leeds & Reading Festivals.
Further live dates and music TBA.
