New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Cinematic Orchestra releases their new song "A Promise" (feat. Heidi Vogel). "A Promise" comes from the storied UK electronic group's forthcoming album 'To Believe' (3/15, Domino/Ninja Tune), their first new album in over 12 years.

Along with the aid of longtime collaborator Heidi Vogel's lustrous vocals, "A Promise" features swelling string arrangements by LA's Miguel Atwood-Ferguson (who has collaborated with Flying Lotus, Anderson .Paak and more). With the addition of drummer Luke Flowers' pulsating percussion, the song reaches the sort of crescendo that distills the energy and emotion for which The Cinematic Orchestra are known. If "To Believe" represents their most complete artist statement to date, 'A Promise' is the apogee of their inimitable sound - intimacy without sentimentality, intensity without hyperbole, gravitas without self-importance.

"As old lies are uncovered and new truths are discovered, the idea of 'A Promise' seems far from our reach," say The Cinematic Orchestra's Jason Swinscoe and Dom Smith. "But, in this modern consciousness of 'fake news'...more valuable than ever."

'To Believe' is a a sweeping seven track release that showcases The Cinematic Orchestra's marriage of transcendental orchestration, elegant electronics and ethereal vocals from a range of guests including Moses Sumney, Grey Reverend and Roots Manuva. 'To Believe' was mixed by GRAMMY-winner Tom Elmhirst (David Bowie, Frank Ocean, Adele) at Electric Lady studios in New York City.

The Cinematic Orchestra is in the midst of preparations for an extensive international tour in support of 'To Believe,' which kicks off March 13th in Brussels, Belgium. The group will be announcing US dates soon.
