LOS ANGELES (Capitol Records) - Capitol/Gotee recording artists Relient K are set to join Good Charlotte and Simple Plan on the forthcoming "Noise to the World" tour of arena and amphitheater venues across the U.S. The hotly anticipated month-long itinerary kicks off May 2nd at the Expo Square Pavilion in Tulsa, Oklahoma and features a trio of dates through the band's Ohio stomping grounds. The "Noise of the World" trek announcement comes as "Be My Escape" - the first single from Relient K's new album, Mmhmm - is breaking out into the top 30 at college radio outlets nationwide.

On April 26th, Relient K will perform in the Los Angeles area as part of "Channel One In Concert Beach Party," a live surf-side event where winners of a recent Channel One News/Relient K online contest will be the guests of honor. Channel One News, the leading source of news and information for nearly 8 million young people across the country, is rewarding students for service in their local communities. Winner of the contest will be featured in the daily news broadcast taped during the event. Earlier this month, Relient K was a featured performer on MTVU's "Spring Break Live," filmed in Panama City Beach, Florida. In other performance news, the band is slated to join the 2005 installment of the summer-long Vans Warped Tour which begins in July, also featuring such myriad of acts as the Offspring and My Chemical Romance.

Mmhmm debuted late last year at #15 on the Billboard 200 album chart, a band high mark coupled with album sales of 51,473. The debut sales numbers effectively doubled those set in 2003 by the debut of Relient K's Billboard Top 40 third album, Two Lefts Don't Make A Right...But Three Do. The Mmhmm release was further highlighted by a #1 debut on Billboard's Internet album chart.

The widely acclaimed Two Lefts Don't Make A Right..., a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, recently scored RIAA gold. The album garnered a Grammy Award nomination as well as a Dove Award for "Modern Rock Album Of The Year."
