Scenes To Release New Album April 19

NEW YORK (Escapi Music) - Formed in 1995 in Ludwigsburg, Germany by guitarist Chris Lorey, Scenes has been a constantly evolving project. The newest and strongest incarnation of the band is made up of Lorey, vocalist Alex Koch (ex-Powergod, Spiral Tower), drummer Hendirk Edelthalhammer, bassist Jan Ebert and keyboardist Florian Wenzel. Having signed a deal with Escapi Music, the band is looking forward to making new fans and followers as they prepare to unleash their music on the world.

The band's latest foray into powerful progressive metal, Call Us At The Number You Provide presents an intense philosophical and emotional journey. Lorey says, "The whole album is about dead end connections or misunderstandings. It's about problems which could have been avoided with the right communication." Songs like "So (Father)" which communicates a relationship between a father and son, show heartfelt emotion behind a musical maelstrom and Koch's powerful vocal delivery helps to bolster the already jaw-dropping musicianship displayed by the whole band. The mixing and mastering was done by Tommy Newton (Victory, Halloween, Conception). Lorey says, "Even though we are a prog band we wanted to sound really heavy and fat and I think Tommy achieved this goal better than we all expected." Due for an April 19th release, Call Us At The Number You Provide promises to fill a void long vacant in the world of experimental metal.
