LOS ANGELES (www.cathyserrano.com) - Cathy Serrano is an acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter, who also plays Native American Flute. The flute album is actually taken from some off-the-cuff recorded sessions which Cathy and producer, Michael Patterson, recorded initially for use in other artists work. Michael encouraged her to turn the sessions into her own album, and here it is! Quoting Cathy, "I chose this name because to share the wind is to me dual: both a physical and spiritual concept. That seems to tie into the Native American Flute and its music for me, as it is a beautiful instrument physically, yet there is something spiritual about playing it. Likewise, wind is physical in the sense that wind provides us with a constantly renewable source of power and energy; and spiritual in that to share the wind (while playing the flute) feels like you are re-awakening your own spirit - it is a joy which is also constantly renewable." The CD is available online through cdbaby or through Cathy's website.
