Beanie Sigel Documenatries To Air On BET & MTV2 Starting 3/23

NEW YORK (Roc-A-Fella Records) - With the long-awaited March 29 release of Beanie Sigel's epic new album The B.Coming less than a week away, friend and mentor Damon Dash has channeled the collective might of his entire multi-media empire into the launch of the first title from his newly-minted Damon Dash Music Group – including his Dash Films branch, which has produced several documentaries on Sigel to air on MTV2 and BET within the next several weeks.

While Sigel currently serves a one-year sentence in federal prison, Dash has been seen proudly sporting his State Property clothing line at promotional appearances on Beans' behalf on MTV's "Direct Effect," BET's "Rap City" and "106 & Park" - along with countless photo shoots and public appearances – all in support of The B.Coming and the Sigel-vehicle State Property II film in theaters on April 13.

Starting Wednesday night 3/23 at 7:30 EST, BET will begin airing the Dash Films documentary "The Trial: Beanie Sigel," which will re-air on Saturday 3/26 and Monday 3/28. The half-hour special follows Sigel throughout his trial in downtown Philadelphia on federal gun charges, as friends and supporters Dash, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and the entire State Property/Roc-A-Fella family rally around Sigel. "The Trial" is an astonishing real-life look a dedicated circle of friends and a man fighting for his life amidst a swirl of media, paparazzi, recording sessions and video shoots, as he prepares to be locked away from his loved ones.

And on Tuesday 3/29, the day of The B.Coming's release, MTV2 will air 'The Truth: Beanie Sigel" at 7:30 EST. Narrated by Beanie, in his own words, "The Truth" follows Sigel's life and career from his humble beginnings as a hustler on the streets of South Philly, to his first encounters with Jay-Z and Damon Dash, to his eventual signing with the legendary Roc-A-Fella Records, to the tours, albums, movies and stardom to follow.
