TORONTO, Canada (www.odeljohnson.com) - Get ready for a roots-rocking explosion LIVE on March 25, 2005 when Obelisk Entertainment and OHM Grown Records present the release party for Odel's debut CD, Mind & Body Sold at the Mod Club, 722 College St.

The roots-rock-reggae of Mind & Body Sold is charged with musical craftsmanship and legendary production skills. Odel has teamed up with former band mates - bassist, George 'Fully' Fullwood and rhythm guitarist, Albert 'Tony' Chin, alongside the ?Dub Chemist?, Scientist, to produce an album that sparks with energy from start to finish.

Listen Online
For an auditory sample of what you?ll be hearing on the 25th visit Odel?s website www.odeljohnson.com where you?ll find the mp3 version of three tracks off the album.

Fire in the Hole, the first single, exemplifies the strength and passion of Odel?s song writing, while Mantos Santos infuses a Latin beat to the reggae pulse. Signs (Ballad) mixes powerful choral harmonies with the influences of 70?s rock bands. Mind & Body Sold is tightly packed with guitar licks and soulful vocals bonded together by the rhythms of reggae?s drum and bass.

March 25th @ the Mod Club
Backed by Toronto's Hardcore Posse, Odel will bring the sonic energy of Mind & Body Sold to the stage. Also performing that night will be Caribbean Dance Theatre, Iyah Yant Drummers and TK2000.
The evening will be hosted by Clifton Joseph and keeping the vibes on the 1?s and 2?s will be none other than DJ Chocolate. It?ll be a blast!

Advance tickets can be purchased at Play De Record, Nicey?s and Trea-Jah Isle. The price of a ticket is $10 and for $15 you can get an advance ticket PLUS a copy of the CD. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the party ($10 or $20 for a ticket and a copy of the CD)
