The Musical Theater and Performance Program at BMS presents Home for the Holidays, an exciting musical theater review for kids. The show will feature holiday songs of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and scenes from popular musicals such as Ragtime, Into the Woods, and The Wiz. Join us in celebration of different traditions that bring communities and families together. A cross-cultural celebration of love and holiday spirit!
BMS's Musical Theater and Performance Program is designed to introduce children to the world of musical theater and performance through an 18-week intensive course that culminates in fully produced performances at the BMS Playhouse. The program is open to all children ages 6-13, who have the desire to share the stage with fellow child performers. Classes are taught by teachers with world-class backgrounds in musical theater, opera, dance, and drama. The program is defined by the philosophy that every child can find their creative voice on stage, combined with intensive training in the fundamentals of vocal performance and building a dramatic vocabulary that ties with their emotions and lived experiences. Comprehensive, friendly, and exciting, this is the perfect way to introduce kids to performance and theater!
