NASHVILLE, TN. (Mark Chesnutt Official Website) - Mark Chesnutt who heard the news in an airplane terminal had this reaction to the report of Chris LeDoux's death: 'I had to stop for a minute right there in the terminal to sit down, because I just couldn't believe the news was true. Chris and I played shows together back in the mid 90's. To describe him as a person, he was quiet and very friendly. He didn't go to the bus after shows, he'd walk around the grounds and hang out with the cowboys or the other players and artists and visit. He was a quiet country cowboy. On the flipside, as an entertainer, Chris LeDoux put on one of the best shows I've ever seen in my lifetime-whether it be country or a rock and roll show, LeDoux was THE show. Radio may not have fully recognized or supported his talents, but his peers and his fans did. I think there are allota country artists walking around today-young and old-that can honestly say Chris LeDoux was an all-time inspiration. He will be missed.'
