Ruben Jesse Cortez, guitarist for The Littlest Viking. "The whole reason I write songs is not to convey some deep sense of artistic freedom or tell the stories of the emo journal I left in a shoe box at my parent's place. I try to write and record the songs I love hearing."
The two-member combo of guitar and drums also includes drummer
Christopher Patrick Gregory whose music has been described as Math Rock by music critics. "We became interested in merging cerebral, precise prog rock with punk rock ethos/tempos/energy. I think this explains a lot" states Gregory.

David Benitez (Fingers Cut Megamachine, Fitz and the Tantrums) was excited to be working with the band and explains their talents. "Metal Chris is the "J.K. Simmons from Whiplash" of the band "He can tell when songs are Russian or Dragon and is pretty sadistic about getting it right. It's part of his genius.
Ruben has absorbed so many thousands of hours of music that he just knows what he wants. His instincts are always right on and his riffs and guitar layers come to him easily. He's also got the fastest rhythm hand in the west."
The band has been featured and performed on various radio stations including KXLU and KUCI radio and has been praised by the OC Weekly and So Cal
Music Today. The band has released two albums which include their critically acclaimed debut album "Labor and Lust" followed by their second self-titled release "The Littlest Viking." The album "Movie
Music Vol. 3" is a compilation of old EPs, rarities, etc. All albums were released on the bands record label Farewell My
Little Viking Records.
The first leg of their nationwide tour begins on October 18th 2018 in
Santa Ana, CA and ends November 19th in Oakland CA.
