Manifesto Records To Issue First Time On CD Classic Rocker Lee Michaels Columbia Records Releases
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On November 16, Los Angeles based record label Manifesto Records will release two albums from classic rock star and FM radio staple Lee Michaels. The two albums, Nice Day For Something (1973) and Tailface (1974), were originally released on Columbia Records and will mark the first time that these albums have ever been available on compact disc.
Both titles have been digitally re-mastered from the original tapes and both come in high quality gatefold packaging.
These two Columbia Records titles followed the seven albums that Lee Michaels did with A&M Records between 1968-1973, which featured the hits "Heighty Hi" and "Do You Know What I Mean."

All seven A&M titles, as well as a 20 song hits package, Heighty Hi - The Best Of Lee Michaels, were released on Manifesto Records in 2015. The addition of these two titles put nearly all of Lee Michaels releases under one roof. The only exception is the very rare album Absolute Lee, that Michaels released in 1982 on his own short lived Squish label.

These two albums continue where Michaels left off at A&M and have some of the common elements of classic Lee Michaels; soulful vocals, his classic Hammond organ sound and the return of longtime Lee sidekick and drummer extraordinaire Frosty, but these two albums go off into much more experimental territory than ever before.

Any Lee Michaels fan will tell you that Lee never made two albums that sounded the same and these two are no exception. A true artist if there ever was one!
