New York, NY (Top40 Charts) ¡MayDay!'s South of 5th has impressively debuted on Billboard album charts at #1 Reggae, #11 Rap, #19 Indie, and #65 Top200! ¡MayDay!, comprised of MC's Bernz, Wrekonize, and percussionist and B-Boy NonMS, has garnered critical acclaim and earned a dedicated fan base. South of 5th (released on September 7th on Strange Music) is the group's fifth album and their first release to claim the #1 spot on the Billboard Reggae Chart, and the sixth time they've appeared on Billboard's Rap album chart and Top 200 Chart. An album that will easily be at home with the Cali Reggae fans as well as hip hop fans alike. South of 5th has no doubt put ¡MayDay! in the forefront of their genre and created something unique and amazing for the hot, hot summer days.

When ¡MayDay! set out to make this album, they envisioned their ultimate summertime beach playlist for their favorite locals only beach South of 5th and included a flare of the island vibes. The new album's 13 tracks are a carefully curated and takes the listener through the skank and ska riddims of the Caribbean all while maintaining ¡MayDay!'s signature blend of Boom Bap Hip Hop, Pop, Rock and R&B. The new album is stacked with featured collaborations including Danny Acosta, Tech N9ne, Stige, and Common Kings.

The group is currently on tour supporting the new album, out now on tastemaker label, Strange Music. True to ¡MayDay!'s style, the live shows are the party of the season. ¡MayDay! promises, "we always like to keep people dancing at our shows.
