
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2004 were presented on Sunday, February 27, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood.
Chris Rock hosted the 77th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday and Million Dollar Baby won four awards for Best Picture, Best
Director (Clint Eastwood), Best Actress (Hilary Swank), and Best Supporting Actor (Morgan Freeman).
Jamie Foxx walked away with the Oscar for Best Actor for Ray, which also won for Sound Mixing.
The Aviator received five awards - the most of the night - including: Best Supporting Actress (Cate Blanchett), Art Direction, Cinematography, Film Editing, and Costume Design.
Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor won for their Adapted Sideways Screenplay, while Charlie Kaufman won for his Original Screenplay for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles received Oscars for both Best Animated Feature and Sound Editing, Spider-Man 2 for its Visual Effects, and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events for the film's Makeup.
