NEW YORK (MOB Records) - With a setback or two squarely behind him, Cuban-born, Bronx-reared rapper Cuban Link is set to jump back into the national hip-hop game with the release of back-to-back singles/videos. Culled from his long delayed, yet anxiously awaited Chain Reaction debut CD – which boasts hot production from the likes of Swizz Beats and Big Menz – Cuban and new label family M.O.B. Records plan to capitalize on his lady-lovin' papi chulo image with the double-whammy bum-rush of the sexy, radio-ready thump of his Tiger-produced 'Sugar Daddy' (featuring urban R&B siren, Mya) and the blazin', fiery beats of 'Scandalous.' Elsewhere on Chain Reaction, the MC who got his start as the then named Lyrical Assassin in the Full-A-Clips crew alongside the late Big Pun and Triple Seis (soon to become the original line-up of the Terror Squad) holds down his more rugged side with future hard-hitters like 'Talk About It,' 'Time' and 'Shakedown.' Already getting his street buzz on with everything from upcoming feature coverage in rap's most prominent publications (XXL, The Source, VIBE) and a larger-than-life billboard perched above hometown New York City's much traveled West Side Highway, to a taping of Showtime at the Apollo, Cuban vigorously jumps back into the swing of things with the filming of the videos for both 'Sugar Daddy' and 'Scandalous.' While full-on urban romance, with round-the-way New York as the backdrop, dominates the feel of the 'Sugar Daddy' music clip, Cuban predictably scopes out a bevy of honeys before ultimately getting his flirt on with oh-so-sexy Mya. The heat is appropriately turned up many notches for the racy 'Scandalous' video, which finds a Don/Tony Montana-reminiscent Cuban amidst even more hotties (one or two of whom you may recognize). And, of course, they're all up in the club! Setting things off in familiar territory, Cuban is scheduled to shoot 'Sugar Daddy' with Mya on Sunday, February 27th in NYC. The video for 'Scandalous' was shot on February 15th and 16th. In the meantime, listen out for 'Sugar Daddy' on the radio, which is going for adds on March 21st, in advance of the forthcoming release of Chain Reaction.
