NEW YORK (AP) - Lenny Kravitz has purchased a Miami-area estate for $9 million, one of the largest price tags ever for a home in the area, according to the Miami Herald. The nine-bedroom Mediterranean mansion, on the waterfront in the exclusive Sunset Island neighborhood, boasts an 1,800 square-foot master suite, Turkish bath, home theater with stadium seating, recording studio, and a three-story guest cabana.
Kravitz will live there with his 12-year-old daughter.

The newspaper reports that local real estate agents consider the sale to be among the most pricey ever in Miami-Dade County. Others on the list include include the Gianni Versace mansion ($19 million) and an estate owned by Sylvester Stallone ($16 million).
Other parties interested in the estate included a nephew of King Juan Carlos of Spain and an Arab sheik.

Kravitz's next album, Lenny, arrives October 30 on Virgin Records.
