- Single download sales now qualify
- Music DVD certifications to be included for the first time

Members should note that retail sales of downloaded tracks can now be combined with physical format shipments for certification purposes – the qualification levels remain unchanged.

In recognition of the increasing importance of music DVD, a new sales award has been introduced for the format. Titles shipping 25,000 copies or more will be eligible for a gold award, while a platinum award requires 50,000 sales.

Finally, certified awards carrying the BPI logo will soon be required to incorporate a hologram. Download the rules and regulations below for a list of authorised suppliers.
