Brother Sanford Ward Black History Gospel Musical

RIVIERA BEACH (Brother Sanford Ward) - Brother Sanford Ward Presents a gospel musical in honor of black history month on Sunday February 27, 2005 @ 4:00 pm at the New Macedonia Baptist Church - 748 9th Street in Riviera Beach.

Gospel music encompasses various kinds of religious music--traditional, contemporary Christian, urban contemporary, Southern, hip-hop. Like soldiers waving banners to show their regimental colors, modern-day gospel singers march boldly and beautifully toward Zion in an ever expanding marketplace.

As the music moves beyond its incubator--the church--it is imperative to understand where it is, where it has been, and where it is going.

A variety of gospel groups, dance groups and musicians will perform at the free event. This event will feature the Sutton Chapel C.O.G.I.C. Mass Choir, GMO Mass Choir, Union Mass Choir, along with the Palm Beach Super Choir and the renown gospel recording artist Recovery In Motion. For more information call (561) 502-WARD
