Born in Chicago, Jean Shy's vocal Background had it's beginning in Gospel Music. Her musical influences were very versatile ranging from Mahalia Jackson to Elvis Presley; Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington to Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and some of the other great Gospel, Jazz and Soul Artists.

After national and regional successes in the US Jean Shy branched out and went to Europe, making Germany her second home. There she formed her Band THE SHY GUYS with which she has been performing throughout Europe for nearly twenty Years.

ONE DAY was recorded with her Shy Guys in various Studios in Germany and Los Angeles.
