Paul Ring, CEO of Bungalo Records states, "We're all very excited to work with Ja-Tail Records and we have strong expectations for La Toya Jackson's new album, we feel this venture will be the beginning of Bungalo branching out into the pop field." La Toya's long anticipated album, Startin' Over, will be the first of many releases thru this venture with Bungalo/UMVD. Startin' Over was co-written and co-produced by La Toya & Jeffre Phillips. La Toya's reinvention and the release of her first two singles are experiencing phenomenal reception and enthusiasm from both fans and the general public worldwide. The first single, "Just Wanna Dance," was last summer's top 15 Billboard Dance Hit and debuted and peaked higher than any other La Toya dance single in the past, spending 13 weeks on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play charts and peaking at No 13. The second single, "Free The World," has been climbing the Hot Dance/Club Play charts since it's release in January 05' and is currently at No 32 with a bullet. Ja-Tail Records President Jeffre Phillips states, "it's a very exciting time for Ja-Tail, we've set very high goals for this year with Bungalo/Universal and we're extremely excited to release Startin' Over. La Toya is gonna shock the music scene." La Toya has stayed out of the spotlight while working on her remarkable new album that reflects her experiences throughout her life. Startin' Over features catchy dance/pop songs with melodies that have been compared to the sounds of artists such as Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue and Christina Aguilera. Startin' Over will be available in stores late May 05.
