Watch Sam Smith, Logic Explore Italian Villa In New 'Pray' Video

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Sam Smith teased the video for "Pray" on social media Tuesday night (May 8) with a quick clip including a speedboat, a butterfly, a bejeweled mask, and Smith standing under chandelier in a fancy foyer. Adding to the excitement, he captioned the Instagram teaser, "CANNOT WAIT for you to see this."

Directed by Joe Connor, the visual features a regal and dramatic motif. Adding to this depth, the clip was filmed at the Villa Erba, a famous 19th-century villa near Lake Como in Italy.
The video also features some surreal elements, including a giant on stilts, a butterfly-adorned man, white horse, group of dancers, and more. In between these scenes, Logic and Smith perform their evocative track with the stunning villa as a backdrop.

Sam gushed about the new visual on Twitter. "The vision for this video is so exciting to me, and different to anything I've done before," he said. "Thank you to the amazing director @joevconnor, to Logic, and everyone involved."
"Pray" originally appeared as a single on The Thrill of It All. Shortly after that, Smith tapped Logic for the remix. Now, Sam is gearing up for the North American leg of "The Thrill of It All Tour," which kicks off June 18 in Toronto.
