Jennifer Lopez Covers Drake's "Teenage Fever" During Live Performance
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Last year's rumors of a relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Drake was always somewhat shrouded in mystery, but the two of them were definitely friendly with each other. The ultimate culmination of their coupling was "Teenage Fever," a stand-out track on Drake's More Life album/mixtape. The track featured a prominent, slowed-down sample of Lopez's "If You Had My Love," which appeared on her debut album, On the 6, back in 1999. On Tuesday (Apr. 24), J.Lo returned the favor by covering the song at the TIME 100 Gala.
After singing a portion of her On the 6 smash from 1999, Jenny from the Block added Drizzy's verse from "Teenage Feever." She altered some of the lyrics, but mostly kept them intact. "Last night we didn't say it, boy, but we both thought it," she sang.

J.Lo wore a low-cut dress with slits to show off her sculpted figure for the medley. Then, with a little help from feathers, she executed a lightning-quick wardrobe change. That's when she launched into "Let's Get Loud" in a shimmering nude bodysuit.

Drake and Lopez reportedly dated in 2016. They even filmed a music video for their "Get It Together" collaboration before breaking up. The visual never came out and Jorja Smith replaced J.Lo on the track.

Lopez went on to date former baseball star Alex Rodriguez, who she attended the gala with on Tuesday. "Always feel so blessed to share special moments of my life with this beautiful soul," she wrote. "Thank you @time for the honor and for an amazing night!!"

J.Lo was named one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2018 alongside Rihanna and Cardi B. Kerry Washington praised the singer-actress-businesswoman. "She made me believe that you could come from where we came from and achieve whatever you imagine is possible," said the "Scandal" star.
