"So much music out there is artificial sounds/loops/grooves and beats," says Taylor D of this. "It sounds great but it's synthetic. It's perfect, yet kinda fake at the same time … I record from the raw. I use real instruments void of all these artificial studio tricks. I don't believe in tricking the listeners. This way when you play live, it's the real deal."
This makes even more sense when one takes into account Taylor D's reasons for making music to begin with.
"Honestly," he says, "as a super-achiever and a guy that would take on just about any dare, between martial arts, military service, and contracting over four-thousand commercial and residential projects, I needed some stress relief."
Working out digital compositions on a DAW doesn't seem as relaxing as pounding out pop music on a guitar. But that's not Taylor D's only motivation for releasing "Daddy's Girl." He's also inspired by his daughter, naturally.
"Daddy and daughter relationships are amazing, crazy and zany times, to be cherished!" he writes. "Just like that, overnight that little baby in the palm of your hand turns ten years old! Wow!
