New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Leading London music school ICMP is delighted to welcome Ben Earle, one half of UK country's biggest acts The
Shires and solo songwriting star, to its next Songwriters' Circle.
Taking place on Monday 19th March 2018, the Americana-themed night will be held at Hampstead's Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel, offering attendees the chance to hear Ben in a unique setting.
The event will be hosted by ICMP tutor
Hannah Rose Platt, graduate Kaity Rae, and current students Izzie Naylor and Conor Riley. These writers will present their songs and the stories around them reflecting the ethos behind the original Nashville writers' rounds.
Alongside songwriting partner Crissie Rhodes, Ben Earle makes up The Shires, UK country's record-breaking duo. Their 2015 debut album 'Brave' became the first ever British country album to enter the UK Top Ten while the follow up, 'My Universe', smashed records, entering the top three in the UK chart and simultaneously becoming the fastest-selling British Country album of all time.
With new album, 'Accidentally On Purpose', due for release on 20th April, and an accompanying UK tour set to take in the likes of London's Royal Albert Hall, ICMP's event offers a rare chance to hear Ben play and discuss his music in an intimate venue.
ICMP Songwriters' Circle is a monthly night of live music led by the school's highly-experienced songwriting faculty. Open to all, the events give audiences a unique opportunity to hear songs in their most stripped-back form with songwriters sharing personal insights into how they were created. Previous guests have included Frank Turner, Ed Harcourt, Elena Tonra (Daughter) and Island Records' rising star
Lauren Aquilina.
The evening is free to ICMP students and alumni, limited tickets are available to the general public and can be purchased for £10 in advance here.
