SYDNEY, Australia (Capitol) - Australia's hottest International male music star, Keith Urban, brings his "big rig" home this month for his first Headlining Tour in this country. Promoters, Allied Artists and Michael Chugg Entertainment, announced today that Urban's close-to-sold-out Tour prompted their decision to import Urban's full Concert Touring Rig, rather than the scaled-down version originally planned.

Allied's Rob Potts said, "The response to this Australian Tour has been huge and fans are now being rewarded by being able to see the exact same show that just sold-out in the US. I've seen the US show several times and it's very exciting."

The Tour's Production Team has been working hard to adjust the staging configurations in each venue to accommodate the massive change. They are going to have to literally squeeze the production into some of the venues.

"It's going to be wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, girls-on-shoulders, entertainment at its best," enthused Michael Chugg. "It's amazing! In one of the busiest international touring summers Australia has ever seen, Keith Urban has been one of the first artists to sell-out his shows."

Keith Urban was named Male Vocalist of The Year at the Country Music Association of America's Awards last November, before kicking off his first Headlining Tour of the US, which found some tickets on eBay being scalped at $US500 a pop! This week, Keith finished filming a Concert Special for Television, with the legendary John Fogerty (which will air in the US on the same night Keith performs at Brisbane's Entertainment Centre, February 19).

He is also nominated for two Grammys (Best Male - Country Vocal Performance / Best Country Album - Be Here) and will perform at the 47th Annual Awards Ceremony on February 13, which will be seen on-air in Australia on February 14.
He then heads straight home to start his 10-date Australian Be Here 2005 Tour at the Townsville Entertainment Centre on February 17 and winds up at Hobart's Wrest Point Entertainment Centre on March 1.
