Powerhouse Breakout Star Jessie Reyez To Wow Audiences At The Epic Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rising star Jessie Reyez has just been added to the 2018 Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend blockbuster entertainment line up.
Commemorating 28 years as the longest running and largest lesbian event in the world, The Dinah is once again showcasing the female hitmakers of tomorrow.

One of the fastest rising artists to keep your eyes on in 2018, Jessie Reyez has been taking the music industry by storm since she first released her debut EP "Kiddo", which was famously championed by Sir Elton John on Beats 1 radio.

Inspired by some of her most emotional experiences, the album garnered more than 20 million streams and earned itself a lot of attention from multiple labels.

The Colombian-Canadian singer/songwriter has since been on an unstoppable meteoric rise. She played the Governor's Ball, her first New York festival and stunned audiences with a breathtaking performance of her heartbreak anthem "Figures" at the 2017 BET Awards. She appeared on Calvin Harris' "Hard to Love" off Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1., and wrapped up a U.S. tour, which culminated back home in Toronto with a sold-out show at the Mod Club.

The burgeoning singer accomplished another milestone when she made her late-night talk show debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last summer.

Today, her star is only rising. Yet the road to success has not been an easy one for this soul busting, raspy voice, emerging talent. Early on, refusing to compromise her integrity and to give up her dreams, Reyez championed her music career by staying true to her form. A pioneer in the fight against sexual harassment, she bravely stood up against industry sexism and is now sitting with a record deal with Island Records.

"With the addition of Jessie Reyez we have one of the most exciting and stellar Female line up in Dinah history," says Mariah Hanson, founder and producer of The Dinah. "She is one of music industry's most exciting emerging artist and a perfect example of a trailblazer in the #Metoo Movement. We couldn't be more proud to showcase her at an event like The Dinah that epitomizes the definition of Women Empowerment."

Reyez made a lot of noise when she released the eye-opening song "Gatekeeper" and companion short film of the same title - a gut-wrenching, dark and uncomfortable 12 minutes short film she co-wrote with director Peter Huang, narrates and acts in.

Released last April, the song has become newly resonant standing as a precursor of the #Metoo movement. Reyez herself embodies the meaning of "living on your own terms" and "taking charge"; and continues to blaze an inspiring trail for many young aspiring female artists to follow.

Since the release of her excellent debut EP Kiddo last year Reyez has been focused on bringing her music and message to life.
