Mt. Joy Grasp For A "Silver Lining" Amid The Tragedy Of Addiction
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Mt. Joy have debuted their new song "Silver Lining," an attempt by guitarist/vocalist Matt Quinn to find some solace after tragedy - in this case, the friends in his community lost too young to drugs, and the devastation they left behind. It's a compellingly open-hearted piece of songwriting that exemplifies why Mt. Joy have found such a passionate following in little more than a year as a band.

The track was produced and engineered by Jon Gilbert at his studio in Pasadena, CA. Listen to "Silver Lining" via KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic: https://kcrw.co/2xKydcK

The Los Angeles-via-Philadelphia band has had a busy 2017. Singles like "Sheep," "Astrovan" and "Cardinal" -- devised as a "why not?" musical project among long-time friends -- came to dominate both the Spotify Viral and Hype Machine charts, racking up tens of millions of streams in the process. They've since played festivals like Newport Folk, Bonnaroo, Made In America and Lollapalooza, supported The Shins and The Lone Bellow, and signed to Nashville label Dualtone, An Entertainment One company.

The rest of 2017 will see Mt. Joy performing on dates alongside Whitney and The Revivalists, before a forthcoming 2018 tour with Neko Case (full tour dates below). Keep a lookout for more new music from the band coming in 2018.
