TORONTO, CA. (AP) - Alanis Morissette, the Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, and Bruce Cockburn are among the headliners set for Music Without Borders Live, a Canadian fundraiser for the United Nations scheduled for Oct. 21 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. A spokesperson for MuchMusic says the Canadian music television network will air the show live. Each act is expected to play for about 40 minutes, according to a statement.

All proceeds will be donated to the United Nations Donor Alert Appeal, which benefits the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNICEF, and the World Food Program. Everyone involved in the Music Without Borders Live concert will be donating their time and efforts, including performers, catering, security. Ticketmaster will donate its normal service charges collected from the sale of tickets to the event, which will be available beginning Saturday (Oct. 13) through all its locations.

Music Without Borders Live will be held the same night as the United We Stand benefit in Washington, D.C., and the Country Freedom fundraising concert in Nashville. The night before, a similar concert will take place at New York's Madison Square Garden.
