Tracy Byrd Hosts The Ace Hardware Celebrity Golf Shootout In Honolulu February 9th

NASHVILLE, TN. (BNA Records) - BNA Records artist, Tracy Byrd, is an avid golfer who never leaves home without his golf clubs gingerly stored on his tour bus at all times. However, the Ace Hardware Celebrity Golf Shootout will require a different form of transportation since it takes place on the big island of Hawaii at the Mauna Lani Resort on February 9. Tracy will take on hosting duties as well as act as a 'wild-card' player for any of the other celebrities who may need a little extra help during the competition. Only a charity like Children's Miracle Network, which happens to be Tracy's charity of choice, could bring so many top athletes and stars to one event.

Some of the other celebrities include World Series Champion Boston Red Sox player Kevin Millar (one of Tracy's closest buddies!) and Ryan Dempster with the Chicago Cubs. Pro football Hall of Famer Franco Harris and Tim Brown who has suited up with the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play along with basketball legend and NBA Hall of Fame, Julius 'Dr. J' Erving.

Tracy's big goal in Hawaii will be to score a Hole-In-One, where if he succeeds, he would win $1,000,000 for CMN! This is a made-for-TV golf skills challenge - not a traditional golf tournament that will be televised on The Golf Channel at a later date.

Tracy Byrd's Greatest Hits will be in-stores on February 8th. His songs have charted more than 30 times and he remains one of the few Country hit makers whose career spans more than a decade.
