Stephanie Sounds Releases 'Much Better' On September 15, 2017
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Stephanie Sounds is an East-London born songstress with the voice of an Angel scarred by life's harsh realities…A daughter of the first family of UK Gospel, Stephanie began singing with Europe's famous London Community Gospel Choir from the tender age of 9 under the watchful eye of her father Rev Bazil Meade. Her earliest touring duties starting at age 11 training in the intense soul-drenched atmosphere that only a gospel choir can deliver and travelling the globe honing her 'strong soprano with the husky undertone…'

Naturally, at the age of just 19, she began providing backing vocals for some of the world's leading artists, from Celine Dion and Will Young to Jessie J, Blur, Florence and The Machine and Kasabian. Also touring extensively with Daniel Bedingfield and his chart-topping sister Natasha Bedingfield, Lemar, Jamelia, Westlife and McFly. It was her time with dance outfit Faithless that she holds as her dearest though, opening her appetite for real diverse musicality and expression.

From the day she first started singing, Stephanie always had more to give, a story to tell. It is then that she would start to pen her thoughts and feelings and bring them to life in song. As she lived her life as daughter, wife and mother in tandem with her colourful career, she experienced some inevitable highs and lows and some truths that would shape her view of a troubled world…

While pregnant she contracted pre-eclampsia and had her son, Asa, 3 months premature. This then spiralled into a tough road post pregnancy, which would challenge her whole existence for the years to come. As a singer and performer being the core of her being and ambition the whole situation became a restriction and stood in the way of her achieving her dreams. Due to her health and emotional situation she put on a lot of weight and was very unhappy. She then reached a point of determination to pick herself up and start a journey to happiness again. She became a Zumba instructor and was one of the first people in her area to run Zumba classes fusing her love for fitness with her love for dancing.

Stephanie's other big focus is as a fashion designer/seamstress. She has a brand called S.O. London, which produces unique and made to order fashion mainly from African print fabric - www.solondonboutique.com. Her clothes range from everyday trendy high street wear to more trendy statement pieces for occasions. She is a unique individual with her own style and identity, constantly reinventing herself.

The eclectic sounding album (released 6th October 2017) is a candid fusion of all Stephanie's 'sounds' and influences and a vivid portrait of how she wants to tell her story - an honest account of life's peaks and troughs, a daily battle with depression, self-doubt and relationships.
