Schmidt impeccably mimics actor Ryan Gosling's persona in the famed restaurant scene when Sebastian's piano playing catches Mia's eye. The video depicts several couples enjoying an intimate dinner, though the song makes you feel like you're the only one in the room.
"The 6/8 meter lends itself very well to solo piano and the inspiration was abundant," explains Schmidt. "It is one of my most favorite arrangements to play. I get lost in the tune every time. But what is most exciting to me is the fact that this arrangement got one of the best responses I've had in a long time from one of my most honest critics: my amazing wife Michelle."
